Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use chatvtalk. By using the service you confirm that you meet this age requirement and that your use does not violate any law applicable to you.

2. The service

chatvtalk pairs consenting adults for one-to-one random video and text chat. The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted availability.

3. Your account

• You are responsible for everything that happens under your account.
• Provide accurate information at signup. Don't impersonate others.
• Keep your password confidential. Notify us at support@chatmeup.app of any unauthorized use.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to follow our Community Guidelines and Acceptable Use Policy. We may suspend, terminate, or restrict your account at our sole discretion if you violate them or if we believe doing so is necessary to protect users, the service, or third parties.

5. User content

You retain ownership of any content you transmit. You grant chatvtalk a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to process that content solely to operate the service (e.g., relay messages between you and your match). Chat messages are end-to-end encrypted and we cannot read them.

6. Intellectual property

All trademarks, logos, source code, and design elements of chatvtalk are owned by the operator. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written permission.

7. Disclaimer of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, chatvtalk (operated as a sole individual) is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service or the conduct of other users. You interact with strangers at your own risk.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless chatvtalk (operated as a sole individual), its affiliates, and contractors from any claim, demand, or damages (including attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without cause or notice. You may terminate by deleting your account at any time via /delete-account.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced via the service or by email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the operator's country of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law grants you the right to bring a claim in your country of residence.
